Site Coordinator, South Dunedin Farmers Market.
The Otago Farmers Market Trust is bringing a new Farmers Market to the heart of South Dunedin. We are looking for a dynamic, reliable and enthusiastic person to take charge of the market on Wednesday afternoons.
This is a part time position of 6 hours a week and runs from November till the end of April 2011. The Site Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of the day to day running of the Wednesday Market. They will be required to take vendor bookings, prepare site plans and deal with enquiries from customers.
On market day they will be responsible for ensuring the market is set up correctly and that all equipment is looked after and maintained.
The ideal applicant will be great communicator who enjoys dealing with both vendors and customers, and is always calm under pressure. The will have good administration skills and be familiar with software like Microsoft Word and Excell. They will be able to down-load photos and email as required.
The movement of the Otago Farmers Market Trust’s Market Kitchen is a key component of this role. Not only will you need to be physically fit but you will be able to back a trailer, have a current driver’s license and access to a vehicle with a tow bar.
