Every Saturday morning rain or shine, from 8:00am – 12:30pm, the Dunedin Railway Station north car-park is transformed into a bustling market place, with thousands of people enjoying the best that Otago has to offer.
A wide variety of fresh fruit and vegetables is available, including stone and pip fruit from Central Otago, and the Otago Farmers Saturday Market is one of the busiest Farmers markets in Australasia.
While some of our vendors have Eftpos the Otago Farmers Markets are cash markets, so please remember to bring your money with you.
The Dunedin Railway Station is situated in Dunedin’s historic precinct and is only a short walk from the City Centre. Click here to find a map.
If you are driving to the market there is always plenty of parking. There is FREE parking right next to the market off Anzac Ave. Click here to see available car parks
It is the vendors and their products that make the Saturday market what it is. Spend some time on our website to find out more about our vendors and what products they have on offer.
Every week hundreds of people enjoy watching Alison Lambert, The Otago Farmers Market Chef in the Market Mobile Kitchen, as she demonstrates her latest recipes, always using local, seasonal produce direct from the growers at the market. Alison is full of passion, energy and good food ideas.
As the seasons change Alison shows us how to use seasonal produce to create interesting and tasty dishes. Keep up to date with what’s new at the market, what Alison is creating and the weekly specials our vendors are offering. Subscribe to our newsletter and follow us on Facebook.
