Otago Farmers Saturday Market
Season: All year round
Day and Time: Saturday Mornings 8:00 – 12:30pm
Location: Dunedin Railway Station – off Anzac Ave
Every Saturday morning rain or shine, from 8:00am – 12:30pm, the Dunedin Railway Station north car-park is transformed into a bustling market place, with thousands of people enjoying the best produce that Otago has to offer. The Otago Farmers Saturday Market is one of the busiest Farmers markets in Australasia.
A wide variety of fresh fruit and vegetables is available, including stone and pip fruit from Central Otago, and you will also find value added goods - breads, baking, pickles, chutneys, cheeses, honey. There is also a wide variety of eat on the spot or takeaway foods - vegan, Asian, crepes, hot bacon sandwiches, juices and coffee.
While some of our vendors have eftpos, on the whole the Otago Farmers Markets are cash markets, so please remember to bring your money with you.
The Dunedin Railway Station is situated in Dunedin’s historic precinct and is only a short walk from the City Centre. If you are driving to the market there is always plenty of parking. There is FREE parking right next to the market off Anzac Ave, and the DCC car park is across the railway lines (a charge after 9.00am). In addition, you can park in the Cadbury's park in Bow Lane for a donation.Click here to find a map.

Every week hundreds of people enjoy watching one of our Farmers Market chefs in the market kitchen, as they demonstrate recipes, always using local, seasonal produce direct from the growers at the market. Our chefs are full of passion, energy creativity and good food ideas. As the seasons change the chefs show us how to use seasonal produce to create interesting and tasty dishes.
