Something To Crow About -are based at Silver Peaks Lodge in East Taieri, Mosgiel. For over 20 years Chrissie Lucas made her tasty range of seed products for family and friends. However it became so popular that what was a hobby, propelled itself into a great small business.
As a registered nurse for many years Chrissie is well aware the health benefits of eating seeds.
Something to Crow About have been at the market since 2004. Supplying a fantastic range of- roasted seed sprinkles that are a tasty addition to salads, sandwiches, stirfries, pasta/rice/couscous dishes, avocado/tomato on toast, as a snack, macaroni/cauliflower cheese, on soup, baked potatoes, new potatoes, coleslaw, scrambled eggs. The list is endless!
They also sell LSA - which is freshly ground linseed sunflower and almonds to sprinkle on cereal, porridge, smoothies, fresh fruit salad, yoghurt or toast.
The products are made at Silver Peaks Lodge in an "A" grade registered kitchen. You will find Something to Crow about halfway along the covered platform.
