
1 x broccoli head cut into florets Oamaru Organics
1 or two spring onions Janefield Hydroponics
2 cloves large garlic, finely diced
70gms cheddar cheese (you could use Evansdale Cheese)
1 egg, beaten Agreeable Nature
75gm panko breadcrumbs
2 tsp sriracha sauce or your fav chilli sauce
Salt & pepper, to taste
Fill a saucepan with water and bring to a boil. Add some salt to the water, then blanch the broccoli in the boiling water for about two minutes.
Drain and finely chop the cooked broccoli.
In a mixing bowl, add broccoli, spring onions, garlic, cheddar, egg, and panko breadcrumbs. Add hot spicy sauce of choice. Mix well and chill in the refrigerator for 15–20 minutes.
Preheat oven 200c.
Line a baking tray with a baking sheet & shape the mixture into your desired shape. Then place evenly on the baking tray.
Bake for 8–9 minutes. turn bites and bake for an additional 8–9 minutes on the other side until golden brown.
