Cocao is the superfood of all superfoods, cacao—the dried seeds at the root of chocolate—is also one of the highest sources of magnesium in nature, full of antioxidants, calcium, zinc, copper and selenium. Cacao contains more antioxidants per gram than blueberries, goji berries, red wine, raisins, prunes and even pomegranates.
The crew at coKo Lounge are super aware of how good (and good for you) cacao is and are on a mission to get the word out there. Trading at number 5 on the world’s trading commodity index, cocao is the key ingredient of chocolate. However the cocao served up at coko Lounge is a “raw” product that has had minimal intervention. coKo lounge use coconut flower nectar (3 to 4% of the drink) to take the slightly bitter edge off the cocao and then they grind it to a suitable size so that it melts successfully in the cup.
coKo Lounge has a café in town and an online presence. The café and the farmers markets allows them to undertake research and development and talk to people about just how awesome cocao is. This team is on a mission to wholesale cocao around the country and over seas.
Using all fair trade products, coKo Lounge provide ceremonial cacao mixes & hot beverages at the market. The hot beverages use Holy Cow & Ronia & Pippi mylks.
