Fig and Blue Cheese Bruschetta



Fresh figs (Pauley Family Orchard)
Sourdough (Breads & More, Gilberts)
Olive Oil (Dunford Grove)
Salt & Pepper
Honey (Bennies Honey or Blueskin Bay Honey)

Blue Cheese Spread Ingredients:
70g Windsor Blue cheese (Whitestone or Evansdale)
40g cream cheese
15g toasted chopped walnuts (Willowbrook Orchard)


Preheat the oven on grill. Make the blue cheese spread by mixing the Windsor blue, cream cheese and walnuts together. Cut 4 slices of the spelt sourdough and then cut in half to create 8 pieces, lightly brush with olive oil on both sides and season lightly with salt and pepper. Grill the bread until toasted and golden around the edges, turn over and repeat on the other side. Allow the toast to cool slightly before spreading over the blue cheese spread, top with sliced fresh figs and a drizzle of honey if desired.
