Market Chef

My love of cooking started at a young age and it was an easy decision for me to make it my career. I did my training at Otago Polytechnic….. quite some time ago… I then worked in a couple of Dunedin restaurants including High Tide before heading over the ditch and working in Melbourne at Wild Flower for a few years.

My husband and I then decided to do some travel back to his homeland of England, some tripping around Europe and the states before heading back home to Dunedin to start our family.

We have 3 kids, Maisie 7, Evan 5 and Archer 18 months. My current work consists of being mum 24/7, creating dishes for the farmers market kitchen (which I love!) and my small business called Eat with Kate producing preserves which I sell at craft markets and a couple of retail outlets

I really enjoy the creative process of coming up with dishes and sharing them with family and friends and of course all of the lovely people I am meeting at the Otago Farmers Market each week.

I look forward to spending more time in the market kitchen and  I hope to continue to share good food and some inspiration with future dishes.
