A message from Alison - who is this week's chef -

"Harvest time at the market and it really is the time to think of preserving whether it be bottling, pickling, fermenting, jams, jellies, ciders or vinegars.  There really is something for everyone’s taste buds."

BRYDONE GROWERS– beetroot and fennel
KAKANUI PRODUCE – chillies
ETTRICK GARDENS – quince
GILBERTS FINE FOODS – seasonal harvest bread

and to ROSEDALE ORCHARD – who provided pumpkins for the free soup available at the Harvest Festival market, and to HAVOC PORK  for their salami.
