This Week at the Farmers Market

13th August 2022

Hi there

Laura's Poster for Socials.jpg

Farms around the region should be looking a little less like rice paddies this week thank goodness, the rain of a few weeks back certainly made it impossible to harvest some crops, but our growers still truck on & work around all the elements to get fresh produce & product available.  Nice to see snow around the hills but will be even better to see a sunny Saturday which is forecast after frosty mornings. Our vendors, buskers, staff & volunteers will be looking forward to seeing you down there.

Check out our Dine Dunedin event in the lower Market at Blue Mountain Butchery.  Butcher & owner Vaughn will be demonstrating boning out a lamb which Chef Amy will be whipping into delicious treats on the BBQ for you to sample. Amy is using products & produce from many of our vendors to marinate, crumb, dip, drizzle or accompany the lamb. Feel free to take a seat for as little or as long as you like from 9:30am.

For those of you who maybe isolating or homebound we have a few vendors that can deliver to your door during the weekBrightside Microgreens, Gilberts Fine Foods, Ettrick Gardens, Waewae, Ronia & Pippi, Agreeable Nature Eggs, Blue Mountain Butchery, Tartan Sari, Dunford Grove, Evansdale Cheese, Oamaru Organics, Port Larder, Harbour Fish, Havoc Pork, Blueskin Bay Honey, Wild Dispensary, Judge Rock Wines, Hazelnut Estate, Matheson & Roberts, Bennies Honey, Whitestone Cheese, NZ Nuts, Breads & More, Dunedin Craft Distillery, Princes St Butchery & others.  You can find their details in our ORDER NOW button on our website And note Ettrick Gardens are away this weekend but will be back next weekend.

Bring CASH as some of our vendors are cash only. Remember your keep cup / mug, containers, produce bag & your good selves.  Nice to see more & more of you bringing your own cups & if you forget check to see if our hot beverage vendors have a spare cup, or cup library (our cup library is beside GUD Coffee), Bagelo's & coKo Lounge have a stash + Soul Chai has a little trolley of them too & I've brought more from the op shops to top them up.  Feel free to drop off any have spare to donate to the caravan.  And you can always drop your used cup to the caravan.

We encourage MASK USE at the Market.  Please respect everyone’s space & wishing everyone well.

Shop your way around Otago this weekend…. at the Market!  Thanks everyone.  See you there.
