This Week at the Market

Hi there

It has been wonderful to see some new vendors starting @ the market. Citizen Catering have set up shop at the northern end of the platform and are wowing our taste buds with their scrummy street food and Hazelnut Estate are down in the lower market between Havoc Pork and Hammerhead. Last week they were enticing customers with their hazelnut, chocolate torte. What will it be this week? Suffice to say that the hazelnut is very versatile and can be used in all sorts of dishes from sweet to savoury.

Side On Bakery will soon be starting with their mouth wateringly delicious sour dough breads, pastries and condiments. coKo Lounge will kick off soon with ceremonial grade cacao beverages and mixes to take home and The Strictly Coffee Co with whole beans or ground to order fresh coffee to take home.

We are over half through July (and incidentally Winter) but we are not losing sight of Plastic Free July. Please help us minimise single use anything at the market by bringing your own cup, plate, cutlery, containers and bags.

They also source from other local producers not found at the market: BL Beekeeping (based on the Taieri), Roastery Door coffee from South Dunedin, Vern Paddock Produce from Mihiwaka.  That means you can still support your local growers, buying locally grown /produced food - with the added bonus of having it delivered to your door!
