Hi there
Woohoo Christmas is finally upon us. The market promises to have everything your heart desires for Christmas dinner and last minute gift ideas for the foodies in your life.
Market vouchers are a popular gift as are the 3 pack beeswax wraps. These are available from the site office. Vendors have created gift packs of olive oils, jams and relishes, Christmas mince pies, local chocolate … the list goes on.
Fresh produce will be abundant. Raspberries, strawberries, tay berries, export quality cherries, apricots, nectarines, peaches, plums, broad beans, zucchinis, new season garlic, new potatoes, salad greens and herbs including basil, snow peas, spring carrots and oodles more.
Fresh flowers will also be abundant, wonderful to festoon your Christmas table with.
We will be opening a little earlier on Saturday. Vendors will be in place by 6.30am with the public gaining access from then.
Cadburys carpark will not be available to us on 23rd December. They are having a big staff party the night before and the carpark will be used for packing out kit on Saturday. Fortunately we aren’t short of car parking around the market. The St Andrews St carpark over the railway lines is a huge space if you haven’t checked it out all ready.
We hope you like the new format newsletter. We have a new website as well. Please check it out. We love it.
Markets continue right throughout the holiday season. Produce will be abundant so be sure to come on down and stock up on the good things.
Here is a link to an interview I did on Otago Access Radio this morning with Jeff. It was lots of fun!
Finally from all of us here at the market we wish you all the best for the holiday season and good times with family and friends.
See you Saturday
Kate
