This Week at the Market

22nd August 2020

Hi there

daffs.jpg

Thank you to all of you who came out last Saturday and supported our vendors. We had a steady stream of customers with everyone being very mindful of maintaining social distancing and signing in with the NZ Covid Tracer App. This week, and going forward, we will just have this one, government authorised app available to scan PLUS manual tracking sheets for you to fill in should you not have downloaded the app.

We are now well through the second week of Dine Dunedin but still have this coming weekend to get out amongst it and support our cafes and restaurants. We are so fortunate to still be sitting @ level 2 and able to have the freedom and joy of being out and about. Make the most of it!! Support LOCAL!!!

Spring is just another week and a bit away!

Stay warm

Kind Regards

Kate

Locavore Boxes To Your Door!

locovores 2.jpg (1)

If you can't make it to the Otago Farmers Market on a Saturday morning for whatever reason & you are still keen to support local growers and makers, and here’s a way you can do that:

Locavore Boxes include produce from a number of Farmers Market growers and producers in their boxes: veg from Oamaru Organics, Janefield Hydroponics, Caithness Farm,  Wairuna Organics, bread from Gilbert’s, dairy produce from Holy Cow, Kombucha from Kapowai, eggs from Agreeable Nature, fruit and veg from Rosedale Orchard. They also source from other local producers not found at the market: BL Beekeeping (based on the Taieri), Roastery Door coffee from South Dunedin, Vern Paddock Produce from Mihiwaka.  That means you can still support your local growers, buying locally grown /produced food - with the added bonus of having it delivered to your door! Check their website - www.locavoreboxes.co.nz
