Sun Ripened Nectarines, Peaches, Plums and Apricots! Oh My!

23rd January 2019

Hi there

caithness apricots.jpg

Dunedin is starting to pump again after the holidays and I am reminded what a beautiful, vibrant city we live in. I love the diversity of the people that live here and the sheer magic of the surrounding hills and ocean.

At the market we are quick to spot visitors and new faces. Really I think the market acts as a draw card for new people to town. Not only do they get to buy delicious produce but they get to experience and talk to real, hardworking, genuine farmers and be part of a wider community. The market takes away that sense of alone-ness that new comers to a city can often feel. And we should all feel immensely proud about that.

It is another exciting week at the market. Blue Mountain Butchery will be back and the produce is coming in thick and fast. Have I mentioned it’s STONE FRUIT season yet? Yeah I know I have but we are so fortunate to have the quality of fruit that we have from a local source. Other markets up north would die to have what we have.

Just on the low down we have some exciting new vendors soon to start. Watch this space for the scoop on you and when.

See you Saturday
