Soak up some Autumn sunshine at the market this week!

28th March 2019

Hi there

Another glorious autumn day is forecast for Saturday. Stone fruit is still in abundance, particularly plums and peaches both of which lend them to chutney making. Just saying now is definitely the time to stock up on your provisioning because these warm days cannot last!

We are starting to get amped up about our annual Harvest Celebration. The date is set for 11th May. We will keep you posted about the events of the day but suffice to say we have a couple of new things planned to excite you with and get your involvement! Circle the date on your calendar and watch this space!

Sadly Spelt Bakery has decided to withdraw from the market. They have loved being part of the market environment but the busy-ness of life has caught up with them and they are taking stock and re-prioritising commitments.

See you Saturday

This Week in the kitchen

It's a beautiful day, and we have our usual helping of delicious creativity from Chef Kate Woodhouse! This week Kate is featuring pasta, croquettes, meringue cake and a salad with a twist. Saturday's forecast is looking sunny and bright, so make sure to schedule some time in your weekend plans for a chat with Kate at the market kitchen, and don't forget to pick up the recipes for yourself!

If you find yourself wanting even more recipe inspiration after the market on Saturday, you can find all of our market chefs' recipes at

The Crooked Spaghetti Co

Kale and Hemp Pasta.jpg

Hi all

It’s been a long but exciting wait for the Crooked Spaghetti Co as we waited for the new machine to arrive from Italy. But now it is here! and if we do say so, quite beautiful (In a manly Ferrari sort of way)! So now our famous fresh lemon pasta is back and in reduced plastic packaging. We have also added to our staple dried range a crookedly delicious hemp seed and kale pasta and a roast shallot, garlic and parsley pasta (which Kate will have on in the truck). That’s not the only big change afoot ........but that will have to wait until next week when all will be revealed! In the meantime keep it crooked!
