This Week at the Market

29th August 2019

Hi there

T.Towels Oven Door 1.jpg

This week we farewell Marie from the highly successful La Crepe stall. After 13 years of establishing and building the business she has decided that it is time to take a well-deserved break. Have no fear, crepe lovers, Christophe will continue to be at the market making delicious crepes! Au revoir Marie! We look forward to catching up with you when you visit as a customer.

Over the past few months the market has been experiencing repeated visits from two pan handlers. While there is no doubt that these people need support from the community giving them money is not helpful. Both of these regular pan handlers can get very abusive and we don’t want them at the market harassing and frightening any of us. The police are involved and we are working through the situation. You can support us by not giving them money and letting market staff know when they are at the market. Thanks for your help.

If you didn’t get by the market hub to check out the new, pure linen tea towels then now is your chance. They are great dryers and we think super stylish in a rustic, handmade sort of way! They are $15 each or buy one with a jute shopping bag for $20 for the both.

See you Saturday

Best Regards

Kate

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Dear beautiful People,

Marie has expressed her wish to stop working for the business La Crepe.

We have taken lots of thought in regards to the consequences.

Well-being and family come first, and it is not easy to have the perfect balance.

I, Christophe am still very passionate when it comes to cooking, and sincerely wish to continue serving you the same quality of Crepe and Galette.

Loving being part of the Saturday Otago Farmer’s Market, I came to the conclusion that I will not be able to operate the business as it is on a long term basis due to the amount of work required to run four crepe plates.

As a result, from the 7th September 2019, Christophe Degas will run the business La Crepe on two plates with one other person.
