This Week at the Market

31st October 2019

Hi there

With the long weekend behind us it feels as though we are beginning the countdown to Christmas. Scary as this might be it does mean that we have some delectable treats in the fresh produce department to look forward to. I enjoyed the first of the jersey bene potatoes enormously and have my fingers and toes crossed that the predicted heat of the weekend heralds the beginning of the local asparagus season. Then it will be cherries, raspberries, new season garlic and a true abundance of new season vegetables. Yay!!! So set in that context the proximity of the yuletide doesn’t seem so disturbing!

There will be an extra Christmas market this year on Christmas eve. This will be 6.30am to 10.30am. We all know that fresh is best so this extra market allows you to shop for the freshest of seasonal produce for your Christmas table.

If you didn’t spy Esther from In the Company of Flowers in the northern end of the lower market last Saturday, be sure to call by and check out her bouquets of foraged and planted flowers this coming one.

See you Saturday

A year later we have only used it a handful of times so it is now looking for a new home.

The MM is perfect for assisting with towing heavy trailer vehicles such as boats, caravans, horse floats and farm trailers etc. Voltmotive (NZ) Ltd recommends a maximum towing weight of approx 2200kgs.

Retail new from $2350, our price $1800 or near offer.

Contact Kate on 0211482116 if you are interested or see our Trade Me listing for more information.
