Raw Daikon Salad



  • 1 daikon radish (Ettrick Gardens)
  • 1 Tablespoon sliced coriander (Janefield Hydroponics)
  • 1 Tablespoon tamari
  • 1 ½ Tablespoons fresh grated ginger
  • 2 Tablespoons sesame oil
  • ½ teaspoon chilli flakes
  • Pinch salt
  • Black sesame seeds (optional)


  1. Peel the daikon radish and use a spiralizer to make long threads. In absence of a spiralizer, you could grate or cut into matchsticks.
  2. Combine the remaining ingredients in a small bowl and pour over the radish.
  3. Taste and season.
  4. Garnish with some chili flakes, and black sesame seeds.
  5. Enjoy!
