Every week vendor's donate the best of their seasonal products for our market chefs to transform into tasty, delicious dishes right in front of you. You can get their recipes here or pick up a printout at the kitchen each week, along with tasting samples and helpful cooking tips.
If you're looking for ideas and want to know where to find the products you need, make sure to visit the market kitchen. You’ll find it in the lower market between Harbour Fish and Waitaki Bacon and Ham.
The Saturday morning cooking demonstrations are shared by our chefs on a rotational basis.
From time to time vendors from the market will use the market kitchen to showcase their own products. There are many qualified chefs who trade at the market, so watch out for the occasional demonstration from your favourite vendor bringing their brand of panache and flair to the kitchen.
